Spicy Corn on the Cob

Spicy corn on the cob recipe with Slap Ya Mama® Original Blend Cajun Seasoning.
If you love corn and have no problem with making it spicy, try this amazing corn on a cob recipe from Lily's Kitchen.
Serves: 5

Ingredients:

  • 5 medium sized corn on the cob (cleaned and husked)
  • 4 cubes of Knorr® chicken bouillon flavored cubes
  • 1 tsp of Knorr Aromat Original Seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp of Slap Ya Mama® Original Blend Cajun Seasoning or substitute with Slap Ya Mama® Hot Blend, for that extra kick.
  • 4 Tbsp or 1/4 cup of IMPERIAL® butter ( use a substitute if desired)
  • Additional salt to taste, if desired.

Instructions:

  • Choose a large pot that would fit the corn and add water until the corn is completely covered.
  • Cover your pot and bring it to a boil for about 15 minutes in a high-medium heat.
  • Reduce your heat to medium-low and let the corn cook for another 15-20 minutes or until the kernels are thoroughly cooked..
  • Serve your corn with extra Slay Ya Mama® or extra butter if desired.

Tips:

  • For this recipe, you may want to use a 5-Quart pot. Fill it will water until the corn is completely covered.
  • After boiling your corn for the first 15 minutes, you can turn off the heat and let the corn absorb all the spices for a few hours or overnight. Store your corn in the refrigerator, if you choose to let the corn soak overnight.  Once the corn has absorbed the spices, put them back on the stove and boil them for another 15-20 minutes until the corn is fully cooked. Beware that the longer your corn stays in the pot, the spicier it will get and the better it will taste.
  • Boil your corn in less than 20 minutes if you prefer not to boil your corn for a long period of time. This is a personal preference and should be done, as desired.

Precautions

  • Slay Ya Mama, Knorr Aromat Original Seasoning and Knorr chicken flavored cubes contain salt. Please taste your corn before adding extra seasonings or salt.
  • Do your own research before purchasing as well as using any ingredients used in this recipe.
